So it all starts with...
The girl from Jamestown
Lucille Desiree Ball was the girl with bigger dreams then everyone else. At a very young age she decided to make people laugh. Her mother DeDe, saw that Lucy was very good at making people laugh so she saved and scraped together the money that they had, and her family enrolled there headstrong daughter into drama school in New York City. At this her further was all hers. When Lucy got into the Drama school she thanked her mother by staring in Broadway in the fall of 1928. But instead of being the amazing one, and not being self centered she went back home to her loving family. Lucy said "I didn't begin to have what it takes to succeed in show business when i first came to New York City as an upstate country kid."
